Do you drive a jeep, pickup truck or sport utility vehicle?
Are you looking for a tire that delivers greater confidence and control both on and off the road?
You want a tire with the traction and durability to allow you to handle the harshest weather conditions and conquer even the most daunting and demanding terrain.
Let’s take a look at the BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A K02. A tire that is sure to meet your needs and exceed your expectations.
Whether you’re driving in the scorching sun through the desert, wading through the thunderous rain in the woods, or through the blinding snow on a narrow mountain back-road, the All-Terrain K02 is a tire you can depend on to keep you and your vehicle safe.
Before BFGoodrich made this available to the public, they drove this tire in the Baja 1000, which is known for being the most grueling off-road course in the world. And surprise surprise, the BF Goodrich All-Terrain K02 won the race in their class.
These tires truly allow you to go wherever you want, whenever you want.
It combines off-road durability and traction with on-road handling and a more than tolerable noise level.
The tires rubber compound is specially formulated to reduce chips, cuts and tears to prevent pointless punctures and extend the tread life and promote an even treadwear.
Sidewall strength and durability is of critical importance when you take your vehicle off-road, and so this is a huge focus of the K02. To deflect protruding objects from snagging and splitting the sidewall, the K02 features an advanced deflection design complete with stone ejectors.
Because one of the main weak points of any off-road tire is where the tread meets the sidewall, the K02 has extended shoulders that are designed to reach lower in order to add more rubber to the upper-half of the sidewall for more protection.
So you can be sure that these tires are tough enough to handle boulders, loose rocks, gravel, paved highways, wet sand and mud.
But what about traction?
You’re going to have a hard time getting stuck with these tires on.
To help the tire shed sticky mud to maintain constant traction so you won’t get stuck, the K02 now has what’s called mud phobic bars’ that are located between the tread so the tire won’t retain any rocks or mud.
And the upper sidewall features protruding sidewall rubber blocks and more edges for increased traction to pull your vehicle forward through the sand, snow and mud for greater traction and greater maneuverability.
Do they behave on the highway?
Yes. The K02 has excellent on-road manners with good steering feedback and surprisingly good grip. It stays as surefooted on-road as it does off-road, with predictable braking and hydroplaning resistance. But be careful, they may slide a bit in an emergency braking scenario when the weather conditions are poor.
Does it snow heavily in your area? Well the K02 has the three peak mountain snowflake logo, meaning the tire exceeds the Rubber Manufacturers Association snow traction requirements.
Based on its performance, tread life and value for money, the BF Goodrich All-Terrain K02 is undoubtedly one of the top all-terrain tires available today.
It ticks the boxes on everything most every driver looks for in a quality all-terrain tire.
The new tread design looks mean, modern and aggressive.
Ready to tackle sand, dirt, mud and gravel, as well as paved roads, no matter the conditions.
