Do you need a tire that provides exceptional traction and handling in all types of winter weather conditions?

Well then you need to take a look at the SP Winter Sport 3D, Dunlop’s high performance winter tire built for sport cars, coupes and sedans. The Winter Sport 3D not only delivers fantastic all-round winter performance, it also provides satisfying ride comfort with a long lasting tread life. It’s a fantastic winter tire that for areas receiving moderate snow and won’t let you down when the roads are dry.

Winter Performance

Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D utilizes a silica based tread compound which is molded into a directional tread design. This ensures that the rubber remains flexible in below freezing temperatures. No matter how cold and rough the weather gets, the SP Winter Sport 3D keeps you safe and stuck to the road.

Light and deep snow is no problem for this tire. They chew it up and dig their way through to get you where you need to go. However, these tires could certainly benefit from more biting grip when turning at high speeds on ice

Dunlop SP WINTER SPORT 3D Tread

They do not perform quite as well in winter weather as other leading tires in the category, for example Blizzaks. That being said, they’re perfect for performance orientated drivers that know how to drive well in wintry conditions.

And thanks to two circumferential grooves and intermediate tread blocks that channel water away from the tire, the SP Winter Sport 3D doesn’t hydroplane on wet or slushy surfaces.

Dry Performance

For a winter tire, steering is super crisp and responsive. They communicate a clear feel for the road and cornering on dry and wet pavement is pure fun .

The Winter Sport 3D maintains stability at all speeds. Inside the tire you’ll find two steel belts that feature Dunlop’s Jointless Band nylon reinforcement for extra strength and durability. While the polyester cord body increases ride comfort and treadwear.

Overall

Winter Sport 3D can be a little noisy when driving on the highway when it’s dry. Considering the aggressive tread pattern, that’s to be expected.

Overall this is a great winter tire that provides a good balance of performance, comfort and traction.

It’s available in sizes ranging from 15 to 21 inches, and in H, V and W speed ratings. Dunlop recommend that you install the SP Winter Sport 3D in sets of four only. It meets the industry’s severe snow service requirements and has been branded with the three-peak mountain snowflake symbol.
