The Michelin Pilot Sport 3 is the perfect max-performance tire for aggressive drivers. An exceptional all-rounder that’s ideal for anyone that lives in a dry, sunny area where it’s likely you’ll encounter rain when driving in the summer months.

Based on the technology and expertise from over a dozen consecutive Le Mans 24 Hour Race Victories, you’ll be hard pressed to find a better tire for price, longevity and traction performance. No other tire balances tread life, fuel efficiency and road gripping performance quite like the Michelin Pilot Sport 3.

The Green X you can see branded on its sidewalls guarantee one of the best energy efficiency levels on the market to reduce your vehicle’s fuel consumption.

The tires’ Michelin Green Compound is molded into an asymmetric tread design that gives off a sport appearance and feel.

But it’s not all about good looks, how does the Michelin Sport 3 perform when you hit the road?

In dry conditions, the steering and handling is nothing short of perfect. You can almost hear the road speak to you when cornering at the limit, while your car’s braking performance will noticeably increase to handle any quick stops or sudden changes in direction with ease.

But what about driving in the wet? Well if you do get caught out driving in the rain, Michelin’s Anti Surf system cuts through puddles and slices through standing water to resist hydroplanning and deliver shorter wet braking distances. To put it simply, they hug the road in wet conditions so you can feel safe, secure and confident if you suddenly have to evade something or need to grind to a halt.

Another great thing about these tires is how long they last for.Unlike other high-performance tires, these tires give you your money’s worth mileage wise. You can expect to see 40,000 miles out of them before they need replacing.

The Michelin Pilot Sport 3 vigorously attempts to be great at everything. But the one area where there could be improvement is ride comfort,as they’re a little stiff. And obviously as summer tires, they’re a hazard to drive in freezing temperatures, snow or ice. And you may experience slight road noise at lower speeds as they wear, but compared to similar tires they’re very quiet.

But I suppose you can’t have it all.

So is this the right tire to help enhance your car’s performance?

Well, if you’re looking for a max performance summer tire that will translate your car’s power into cornering force and acceleration, then the Michelin Sport 3 is for you. Depending on size, the price ranges from $53 to $265, giving you excellent value for your money. Expect to enjoy high-speed handling, superior performance and a long lasting tread life. All of which equals more driving pleasure for longer.
