Do you drive a pickup, light duty van, crossover or sport utility vehicle? Do you want a tire that can keep you free from harm throughout the year?
The Premier LTX is Michelin’s Crossover/SUV Touring All Season light truck tire. It offers unbeatable wet traction and handling, pleasant road manners, responsive steering, and above all else, year-round safety no whatever the weather conjures up.
Where the Michelin Premier LTX shines is in rainy and wet conditions.
To increase traction in wet and cold temperatures in wet and cold temperatures, the Premier LTX uses a silica and sunflower oil compound that’s molded into a symmetric tread design featuring a continuous center rib flanked by notched intermediate ribs and linked shoulder blocks. The soft tread compound is specially engineered to absorb any bumps you may encounter on the road for a smooth, comfortable ride.
Drive through torrents of rain without worry
The Premier LTX also features Michelin’s groundbreaking Evergrip technology that adds EXpanding Rain Grooves around the tire’s circumference and Emerging Grooves across its shoulders. So as the tread wears, the tread grooves widen and new grooves emerge to maintain superior traction in wet,dry and wintry conditions as if they were new. Performance doesn’t decrease with wear and hydroplaning is non-existent. Keeping you safe as the day you bought them.
The high concentration of silica in the treads rubber compound provides powerful traction on wet surfaces and compared to other tires in its class, the Premier LTX has a much shorter stopping distance in the rain. With Michelin, you’re safety is always a priority.
While the Michelin Premier LTX holds its own in light winter conditions, if you live in an area with heavy snowfalls and encounter your fair share of ice, it’s best you pick up a set of dedicated winter tires. However due to the placement of the sipes, if you do find yourself in some light snow or slush you can be confident that the Premier LTX will allow you to stop when you need to and stick you to the road. And the generous dosing of sunflower oil in the tire tread allows the rubber to continue to provide grip in winter conditions with a more flexible and soft profile when the temperatures drop.
They’re insanely smooth and quiet to drive.Inside the Premier LTX are twin steel belts reinforced with spirally wrapped polyamide cord on top of a polyester casing ply for durability and stability combined with a tough sidewall to combat wear and tear.
The Michelin Premier LTX is available in 47 sizes, ranging from 16 inch to 22 inch and is backed by a 60,000 mile tread life warranty. They’re not the cheapest tire, nor do they have the long lasting tread life in the all season class of tires, but they certainly have everything else and for safety and performance they can’t be beat.
